These are fantastic little frogs but are not starter frogs. They are prone to stress like many frogs and it can be a big killer. They are cute funny fasinating frogs to own. I am fostering one from my work. They need more water than land. About a 1/4 land 3/4 water mix is good. Land must be easily accessable. Turtle docks will work great. They eat well and will eat reptomin, meal works, crickets, blood worm, wax worms, locusts etc. Keep alone, they are agressive to each other and anything else. They are not one to pick up, they will bite if given a chance and make funny noises when on land and unhappy my your presence. Great for frog keepers.
