I had no clue when I was given a couple of axilotle's. I had many fish before though, these require a little more tlc. I am still a little unsure as to the reasons behind why my ones died, I have a feeling it was the chlorine in the water. They were fed well, tank kept clean but after some time they started losing their color and passed away after numerous trips to the petshop to buy drops to put in the water. A pet I would definitely have again if someone gave them to me or to teach my future children about different aquatic species. But I would definitely do a lot more research. Amazing creatures to watch.
