Tree frogs seem like great pets because they are cute when they jump around, and they can live in a tank. But they need pretty special diets and that means catching insects or buying them from the pet store. Their tank also needs regular cleaning, and they need a constant supply of water so their skin doesn't dry out. To keep the water fresh, it's best to use a running source, but then you have to deal with the ongoing noise and cost of electricity. They also need to be kept warm in winter with a heat lamp, and that is costly too. I didn't like the upkeep so didn't keep the frog.
