This is an interesting pet to watch eat. In all honesty, they dont do much else. But they are really cool to watch eat. I fed mine a diet of mostly mice, and occassionally I would put in some crickets. They are what's known as a 'sit and wait' predators so if you are looking for active, this is the wrong pet for you. They basically sit in their tank (mine liked to bury himself down into the pebbles I provided which camouflaged him quite well) and when food walks close enough to their mouth they strike very slightly and begin to swallow it whole. It's always a conversation starter when you tell someone you have a frog that eats mice. You can hold them and pet them which for mine (stroking his back) would make him croak but they dont move very much and when they do it is not fast. This does make them easy to handle. You will need to clean their tank, they like a moist, warm, humid environment but dont require a large tank (10 gallon terrarium). Fairly low maintenance, except needing to buy and or keep live mice for it to eat and can eat a lot, but again, that is the coolest part of this pet.
