Funny Frogs But Not For Beginners

I have had three different types of Pac Man frogs: an albino, an ornate, and a fantasy. All were very crazy cool guys, but all require some special care. These aren't really for beginners as they (especially the albinos for some reason) require some specialized temperatures and lots of food. The albinos required a way more precise temperature for their vivs than the ornate or fantasy did, not sure why.

They don't need a lot in their vivarium to be happy - they are very sedentary frogs. They will dig down into the dirt and just ambush any prey that comes by. Also, they need plenty of moist substrate to dig and burrow down into. You'll need to mist them a couple of times a day so they have proper water and their substrate is moist enough as they soak the water through their skin.

They eat any type of insect that moves - crickets, mealworms, superworms, dubias - with ease. Also, they love pinky mice as they get big enough for them. Mice give them a big weight boost, but you can only feed one a week or so until they get really big.

Depending on the colors and the size of the Pac Man that you're looking at, you can find them from $30 and up. I do recommend them for those that have the patience for them and are able to mist them daily. They are really cool frogs and are fun to mess around with as well as they scream like a baby when they are angry.
