Toads are very easy animals to keep. I received this toad from a friend (I’m not sure where he acquired it from) and was thoroughly impressed at how little work it took to maintain this animal. As far as feeding it, I lived out in a place with a lot of grasshoppers, so I would simply catch some of those to feed him. It was always very enjoyable to watch him eat the grasshoppers, as I was able to see his very adept use of his tongue. When it came to maintaining a habitat for him, I simply used an old aquarium and filled it with dirt, leaves, plants, and rocks. Of course, I also included a container of water. All in all, I would have to say that my experience with keeping this toad was rewarding, even though I did not keep him for a long period of time.
