Over the course of about 4-5 years I owned roughly 15 American Green Tree Frogs. They are beautiful. Fairly visibly while in their cage.

I do not recommend these pets for children, because they can escape from their cages easily. Cleaning the aquarium is a task best suited for adults, and the feeding, well pinhead crickets are best handled by adults as well.

I always enjoyed these pets. I actually unintentionally had to opportunity to raise the frogs from "birth" so to speak. Which was quit the experience to watch the change take place as the frogs grew.
