Owning a frog

I grew my sweet little frog from a tadpole as part of a class project, and kept "her" for several months after until her death (to be honest, I am not sure if I knew it was female - I just thought of it that way). It was very interesting to own a frog, and especially being able to watch it go through its growth transformation. She would hop around her aquarium when I would walk in the room, like she was happy to see me. A couple of things that weren't great, however... the smell. The whole room smelled like the tank, even though I kept it very clean. I can still smell that smell sometimes in dirty bathrooms. Second, I didn't really enjoy going to the pet store to buy crickets for her food (and then feeding them to her - bleh). And third, she didn't live long. I'm not sure I would own a frog again, personally.
