I purchased Ozzy from a local pet store. According to the manager, he was ill. Upon observation, he was gray/white, thin, frail, and his eyes were cloudy. They did not want to sell him to me but I managed to purchase him with a discount. I immediately set to work on his habitat (30 gallon tall terrarium). I added the necessary heat lamps, soil, foliage, and clean water. I dusted all his crickets in calcium powder. Initially he was grey and getting thinner by the day. I still added fresh crickets and provided a quiet room for his terrarium. He started to fatten up and became a vibrant shade of green. He grew a little larger and kept me up at night ( you have to love croaking sounds). He became more active and didn't hide as much as he used to in the beginning. Cleaning the terrarium wasn't too difficult a task. I rinsed the leaves off in hot running water and changed the soil/water. Every couple weeks worked for me and his habitat did not smell. I provided adequate ventilation and maintained humidity levels/temperature in his terrarium. They are beginner frogs and pretty easy to care for if you have the right conditions. Ozzy lived for nearly 5 years and made a full recovery.
