I spent the better part of my childhood in the wild north of Ontario, Canada. This gave me the opportunity to view nature at it's best. Including the American Bullfrog. And there were so many of them.
While I never keep one in an aquarium, I would keep them in a bucket for a day or two. And really, these frogs are terrific for fishing. But I digress.
They are beautiful creatures that are a vital part of the eco chain. While they hibernate during the winter, they are most active on warm summer nights when you can hear their very loud and distinctive "RRRRiBBBiTT"s all evening long.
I can imagine that they would make a great pet, provided they are given the proper surroundings but I personally prefer to observe them in their natural habitats.
