African Dwarf Frogs

African Dwarf Frogs are a great breed to keep in an aquarium--they love the water and are sold in most places where fish are sold. When I was younger I had four of these who lived together--the fattest (these are usually small and slender) was named Zeus and I've had a few frogs years later as well. They eat frog food in the form of pellets but I remember often feeding them blood worms (I think?)--tiny worms that goldfish also eat and you can buy in a plastic bag from most pet stores. Dwarf frogs are absolutely fun to watch zipping around and playing in the water. They also love to just hang and float in the water motionless while they rest with their legs spread out. You should also make sure there's a place to hide for the frogs, behind a big rock or under a curved piece of wood, so that they can feel safe when they feel the need. Note: don't tap on the glass too much! though it's hard to resist! You do need to clean the aquarium quite often so that the water doesn't get too gross or toxic but otherwise these are really entertaining pets and easy to keep!
