Lauren's Review of a African Dwarf Frog

I got this pet on a whim from a pet store while I was in college (something you should never do!). Admittedly, I didn't do much research before I bought my frog, but I did the best I could to take care of him regardless. He did just fine in a small 5 gallon fish bowl, and he was generally active, but did not like being held at all. He was mainly aquatic, which I'm assuming lead to his aversion to being held.

In terms of health and care, he was a very fragile creature and only lived approx. 1 year. The most challenging thing was keeping his tank water regulated appropriately so that his temperature was within specific limits. He ate general food from the pet store, which was nice, but again he did not live very long.
