Spot is an African Dwarf Frog with personality plus. When it is time to eat he comes the front of the tank spreads his arms and legs and floats waiting for his meal. He is also extremely spoiled. :) He loves to be hand fed... Spot is the reason my glofish know about blood worms. Spot is a little shy, he stays behind rocks and plants some but when he is out, it is time to play! He swims up and down the tank and has even taken a ride on the ceramic turtle a few times.

African Dwarf Frogs do require warmer water, I found this out with a very unfortunate accident with my first one :( They like their water about 76 degrees. They are pretty amazing in that they live under water, however, because of this, they are not good if you want to take them out and play with them. Spot lives happily and peacefully in a 3 gallon tank with his 3 sisters Pinkie, Pollie, and Goldie (glofish) and Snooty (we will discuss him later).

They do not require a lot of upkeep in the tank but I do have a bubble blue light tank with a small heater, Tetra pump, and filter. I remove 1 cup of water about every 2 weeks and replace with 1.5 cups of reverse osmosis water. I also change the filter about every 3 weeks. This has kept the tank clear and the water clean and balanced.

Wonderful pet if you just want to watch the tank and enjoy the swimming and eating entertainment.
