African Dwarf Frog - Herbie

Tiny, fast swimming, and very inquisitive, Herbie was very entertaining and fun. Dwarf frogs stay small so they do not require a lot of space. They eat freeze dried blood worms and also pellet fish food. Fresh water, basic aquarium maintenence, and accessories of your choice make an acceptable habitat for dwarf frogs. Herbie got along with our other fish in the same tank and would zip around and "visit" with us when we would look in from the side.
Dwarf frogs can be fragile and I would recommend talking to the sales rep when you purchase one. They should be able to tell you the best way to care for your dwarf frog and help you pick a hardy one. Our family was very sad when Herbie passed and we were never sure what was the cause. He did not show signs of illness and there were no changes to his environment. For us it was very heartbreaking however I was glad to have known him and always recommend dwarf frogs to anyone looking to have fish as pets.
