Acquired: Pet store

I acquired my African Dwarf frogs about five years ago for my birthday. I bought them from the local pet-shop in my neighbourhood and, seeing as frogs are my favourite animal, couldn't have been happier. Now don’t get me wrong, I love the two frogs that I own right now. But eventually it became harder and harder to look after them. When I first got them, I picked up all the supplies from the pet store. Food, tiny terracotta bowls for them to feed from, hiding places and the like. But after about a year the initial excitement died down and I started forgetting they were actually there. It became a chore to feed them, change water, and clean their tank. It turns out that I need a pet of higher maintenance in order to remember to feed them and take care of them, or perhaps someone with a very good memory who can help me remember all the pet needs. Either way, I love my 'dwarfies' (as I like to think of them) and I have now set up alarms to take care of them, but I still regard taking care of them akin to slight chores.
