Fun Frogs

I think most people would agree that frogs are pretty awesome little creatures. When I first learned a few years ago that I could get small underwater frogs for our big fish tank, I was very excited!

These frogs are so much fun for my husband and I to watch and they keep company entertained as well. They are also pretty easy to take care of and aren't a problem when it comes to getting along with other fish.

The down side is that it can be quite hard to spot these guys in our tank. We've owned two different ones at two different times and both frogs were always hiding under rocks or in between other decorative pieces. Though we've made a game of seeing who can find the frog first with the kids, sometimes it gets to be a little annoying that they're rarely out and visible.

They also don't live as long as I would have hoped. My husband is almost obsessive with the maintenance of our tank and all the other fish have lived long wonderful lives. But for some reason we have a hard time keeping the frogs alive for more than a couple of months.

In the end we're happy we had the frogs and we will definitely be buying more in the future. Though they aren't always out for us to see, when they are visible, they are very active and a lot of fun to watch!
