Megan the Frog

My daughter got an African Clawed Dwarf Frog from her grandmother when she was about seven years old. We got a five gallon tank with a filter, some plastic plants and food and put the tank in a central part of the house that did not receive many temperature changes. My daughter was primarily responsible for feeding Megan and I took care of the tank cleaning.

Megan swam around a lot and was fun to watch. It was not a pet that we took out and played with. It was easy to take care of and was not much of a time drain. Megan died a natural death after a couple of years. If you're looking for an easy maintenance pet that isn't a money drain, this could be a good pet for your family.
