When I first bought Suzie from the pet store I didn't expect much- after all, she was a frog. But man did she prove me wrong...

Suzie had a huge personality- and a huge appetite. Whenever she saw me walk by her tank she would swim to the front and push herself up against the glass so I would notice her (and probably feed her, too). I would walk over and put my fingers in the top of the tank and she would swim up and rub against me. Sometimes I would feed her large fish pellets and she would take them right from my hand.

I loved watching Suzie swim in her tank. She was very active- I don't think she ever stopped swimming. She was always the main attraction when friends came over. Everyone would always comment on how sociable she was. It was the kind of thing you would have to see to fully understand.

I wanted to get Suzie a friend but I was warned that if I put fish in her tank she might eat them. Therefore, I opted for another African Clawed Frog. They got along quite nicely.

Both frogs were healthy as long as I had them. One time Suzie laid eggs and they occupied the entire tank. They were gone later that day when I checked on her again, though, so I'm assuming she ate them. Not sure what I should've done in that situation but I guess that's typical behaviour for female frogs.

It was a sad day when I had to move and give away my frogs, but they are now happy in their new home at a school where they can show off their big personalities to new faces every day. Overall African Clawed frogs are definitely one of my favourite pets and I would definitely buy them again.
